Recording "In the Arms of Love"

Hey Good Peoples. My recording has come to a halt. My violin, the 'Francisca' is not performing like it should. Last week after recording the seventh song it started making rattling sounds telling me that one of the seems were open. It is now in the repair shop and I'm forced to use my spare which is nowhere in the category of my 1st instrument and not worthy of the recording I'm trying to produce. Today I'm hoping for good news from my repair guy. Last week we got 3 tracks recorded and they all sound really good. I'm recording through a microphone that's not produced anymore and is worth over $5ooo. It's guaranteed to capture the true essence of my violin. I'd better be using my good violin! Wendy is taking lots of pictures in the studio and will post them on this site soon. Talk to you soon.

The recording was produced by the late John Barry and featured the London Symphony Orchestra. In the Arms of Love was the result of a meeting between Colin Matthews, the Chairman of EMI Classics and producer John Barry, when it was suggested that Barry should record an album of his own music. The album was recorded in Summer 1991 with Matthews as arranger and conductor. It was released on CD in 1992 and on Vinyl LP in 1993 with a different cover (the artwork for the CD is by Chris Whorf, for the LP it is by Alan Aldridge).
